First-In Breakfast

​First-In Breakfast is a casual morning gathering for the founders, investors, and operators helping build the next generation of great Midwest companies. ​Hosted by Gateway Capital and Mastercraft Ventures, two early-stage venture capital firms that are often among the first institutional capital into a company. We spend our days meeting founders who are validating ideas, searching for product-market fit, and laying the groundwork for growth. ​In the spirit of being “First-In,” we wanted to create a space for the startup community to come together over breakfast and have an honest conversation about early-stage investing. Specifically, what gives investors the conviction to write that first check.
